Emergency First Aid Fundamentals (EFAF)

Severe traumatic injuries result from forces as everyday as a serious fall or automobile accident, to forces as unthinkable as a shooting or stabbing as the result of an assault or robbery. This lesson will address the assessment and treatment for a number of trauma emergencies including severe bleeding, a penetrating chest injury, flail chest, severe burns, musculoskeletal trauma (injury to the bones, muscles, ligaments or tendons) and trauma to the head and eye.

Emergency First Aid Fundamentals is a series of classes covering these basics. Classes included in the series are: Save a Life: Control the Bleed, Patient Assessment, Traumatic Emergencies, Medical Emergencies and Building Your Own First Aid Kit.
