The darker and colder winter months are a perfect time for indoor activities, and Mission94 Firearms Education Center has a wide variety of engaging, educational classes to keep you busy. Whether you’re a history buff, a novice, or an experienced enthusiast, you’ll find classes to suit your level and area of interest. Here are just a few of our many topics – check out our training calendar for the full schedule!
American History
History comes to life in our educational classes that explore the evolution and significance of firearms through different time periods.
- American Small Arms of the Vietnam War – Students in this class learn about three firearms that were heavily used during the Vietnam War (M1911A1 pistol, M14 rifle and M16A1 rifle), the impact they made, and the lessons learned that affected future conflicts.
- Small Arms of WWI – World War I was meant to be the war that ended all wars. Instead, it started a new chapter of warfare. Through the lens of trench warfare, students will explore the small arms that soldiers relied on, including the Colt M1911 and the M1903.
For Women
Women-only activities at M94 foster community and friendship, while female instructors provide essential tips on self-protection and firearm safety.
- Ladies Night – Mission94’s Ladies Night events allow women to learn in an empowering, positive environment. Students learn the proper use and handling of firearms for personal protection and recreational enjoyment. All levels are welcome and it’s on the third Tuesday of each month.
- Women’s Basic Pistol – In this class, women learn the fundamentals of shooting, universal safety, situational awareness, common types of firearms, defensive pistol use, and more.
For Beginners
We provide training for firearm beginners on specific firearms like pistols and rifles, as well as classes on practical skills for real-world scenarios, including first aid and home defense.
- NSSF: Intro To Firearms (Rifle) – Students learn the basics of rifle skills in an in-depth, 2.5-hour class. Firearms are provided to each registered attendee for practice.
- NSSF: Intro to Firearms (Pistol) – A pistol is one of the most popular firearms, and this class provides the basics on safely handling and using one. Firearms are provided to each registered attendee for practice.
- NSSF: Intro to Firearms (Pistol & Rifle) -Students of this class will take the first step toward learning more about the safe and recreational use of firearms. The class is 3.5 hours, and firearm and ammunition are provided to each student registered.
For Anyone

- USCCA: Developing A Home Protection Plan – This class offers lessons on creating a protection approach for handling an unsafe situation and tips on preventing crime from happening in the first place.
- USCCA: Countering the Mass Shooter Threat– Students of this class will learn tactics to thwart active shooters in Places of Worship, Businesses, and Schools.
- USCCA: Identifying a Public Threat– Learning the signs of a potential threat is very important when mastering when and how to get out of danger. This class helps students make a plan to protect their community.
- USCCA: Legal Use of Force– This class educates students on the appropriate circumstances and considerations for employing force in various situations, including exploring legal and ethical aspects, situational assessments, and de-escalation techniques.
- Cleaning My Firearm (Handgun) – Keeping a firearm clean is one aspect of operational safety, and this class outlines the fundamentals of cleaning and maintaining a personal firearm.
Special Opportunities for Members: Membership at Mission94 provides generous benefits, including special events. Enjoy a “Let it Snow” fun shoot on January 9th.
