Every year, millions of people become first-time firearm owners. Personal protection and self-defense are two of the most common reasons, but protection begins with understanding how to manage a firearm safely and training. Learning to use a firearm with expert instructors is key to responsible ownership.

Mission94 Firearm Education Center offers a wide range of classes for all, from novices who have never even held a firearm to those who carry firearms as part of their profession. Our popular “New to Firearms” approach and “First Shots” beginner class series cover all the building blocks and fundamentals that novice shooters need to know. If you’re concerned about self-defense or merely curious about firearm usage, here are some of the top reasons why you should learn to use a firearm in an educational setting.

Safety – Safety is paramount to using a firearm. Whether you’re considering ownership for the first time or want to expand your skills to a new type of firearm, taking a class with experienced instructors is the best way to ensure you cover all firearm safety elements. Small details in how you hold, load, and aim a firearm can make a big difference in your ability to use one safely, for your own protection and the safety of those around you. Our state-of-the-art facility is also equipped with sound protection technology and fresh air ventilation for student safety during training.

Ownership – Using a firearm is only one component of responsible ownership. What are the laws related to carrying or transporting a firearm? How can you store firearms securely? What ownership accessories – from holsters to cases to safety locks – should you consider? It’s important that new shooters know about firearm management outside of a contained training bay.

Expertise – There is no substitute for professional expertise. Mission94’s staff are carefully selected, experienced instructors with extensive backgrounds in firearm usage. Our classes are politically neutral and designed to give students a comfortable and welcoming learning environment for tactical training. Our retail center is also staffed with experts who can advise you on choosing a firearm that fits your needs.

Practice – Learning any new skill takes consistent practice. It’s common for beginners to feel unsure of themselves, but Mission94 offers two training bays (15-yard and 25-yard) for ongoing practice so students can keep improving after they attend initial classes. Different membership levels make it easier to visit regularly, and our more advanced course levels give new shooters the ability to continue expanding their knowledge.

Community – Learning to use a firearm in an education center can open doors to a new community. Beyond firearm instruction, Mission94 offers opportunities to learn about history, participate in group meet-ups such as “Fun Shoots,” and join themed events throughout the year.

Mission94 is more than a basic training center. It’s a destination that provides immersive experiences, fosters a culture of responsible firearm ownership, and creates a safe and welcoming environment for students of all levels.
